I have a duo act with my wife & recently performed on P&O’s Adonia cruise ship where we met Mathew, who was performing in the Curzon Showroom & Anderson’s lounge. As part of the entertainment team, he stood out as a true & talented professional. He has a unique musical style, (perfect for the cruising crowd) that was consistently well received. He is an incredible pianist, sings beautifully, adds plenty of humor when performing and is extremely entertaining when engaging the audience. Mathew was loved amongst the passengers & crew alike, a true team player, upbeat guy & talented pro that would be a benefit to any entertainment venue.

Being seasoned cruisers, we were absolutely delighted to discover Mathew entertaining in the piano bar, he was the most professional and talented entertainer we have had the pleasure to listen to.
It was a very different and amusing musical evening – such great fun that we returned every night. Thank you Mathew for making our holiday.

Looking for somewhere for just one after-dinner drink, we drifted into a bar aboard our cruise ship expecting the usual background piano playing. We ended up sitting there all evening being entertained by Mathew. He was the best performer we have ever had on a cruise and we were not the only ones to think so as the bar was packed every night. Truly a very talented and unique performer.

A fantastic entertainer, an “all-rounder” - something for everyone! Mathew can make you laugh or cry! He is such a professional in his manner and understanding of his audience! If you share an evening of entertainment with Mathew Loeser, you will not be disappointed! He’s not a star in the making - he’s already there!! Bravo Mathew! Looking forward to seeing you again!

Mathew was so popular that one had to be seated early to be able to enjoy his act. His performance was superb. We have seen many entertainers, but few have had the impact and crowd appeal that this very talented young man has, as well as being pleasant on the eye and a lovely personality.

Standing Ovation for Mathew Loeser’s sensational concert...

The boy from Victor Harbour stormed into Brisbane on Sunday 24th and in his own inimitable style, “laid ‘em in the aisles”. Mathew Loeser gave us a performance, the likes of which we have never seen before. From the moment he sat at the console of our Conn652 Theatre Organ he had his audience’s rapt attention. Mathew’s effervescent personality and his sheer professionalism just whacked us between the eyes. We had a Theatre organ opening that shook the spiders out of the Conn652, and then, at the piano, he sang for us to showcase the work of famous writers such as Noel Coward and a long list of others.
We all love the theatre organ and that’s why we are in the club, but this guy gave us that and heaps more… what a singer!!

It was a show with a difference, three artists for the price of one, Organ Piano and song. I’m sure we have never seen the audience leap to their feet in such a hurry to give a well-deserved standing ovation.

It’s always exciting to watch a career blossom. From Victor Harbor to Sydney, Mat Loeser is one of this State’s rising young exports, with a particular appeal to lovers of nostalgia.
The Sophisticates is a tribute concert not only to Noel Coward and Cole Porter but to the grandeur, sophistication and charm of the era in which they thrived. After a successful interstate debut, Loeser has charmed a home crowd in a stellar one night only concert.
Although only 24, Loeser is an old soul, easily relating to his audience and displaying a deep understanding of the memories he guides them through. Expertly playing a grand piano as he sings, he pauses between songs to reveal unusual facts about the lives of his subjects and the stories behind the songs. The humorous patter is short and engaging, teasing out anticipation for the next number.
In keeping with the style of the music, Loeser discards his usual flamboyance for a simple tuxedo, embarking on a journey of 33 songs and medleys, raging from It’s Delovely and Anything Goes, through to Night & Day, I Get a Kick Out of You and the lesser known Please Don’t Monkey with Broadway.
A superbly relaxing evening of high style and music.

Mathew has been a regular performer at ”Performance Carnival” and has built a great following and rapport among our wide cross section of clientele, staff and fellow performers.
Mathew’s engaging personality is evoked by his nostalgic selection of repertoire. His selection of songs takes you back to the good old days of yesteryear. His passion for cabaret and lesser known songs will have you guessing tunes and singing along from his very extensive repertoire.
Mathew’s warm vocals fill the room and create a soothing, happy atmosphere and his high standard of piano playing creates the perfect accompaniment.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mathew for any establishment as he is a very professional, versatile and suave musician adapting to any occasion, event and atmosphere.

Loeser is a flamboyant, quirky and at times even very funny entertainer. With his fresh and youngish look he engages his audience from the very first song … If Mathew Loeser would aim to conquer all 1500 Berlin songs in one mammoth concert the flashing world news headlines would probably be all his. Until then, he hopefully will continue to polish his skills and turn a raw opal into a multi-coloured piece of art … His obvious enthusiasm, passion and profound knowledge of his material deserve respect. Loeser for sure is one to watch in the future.

A talented and charismatic entertainer...Mathew is definitely a young talent to be watched.
